I often get asked, “Why did you chose to learn Japanese Language?”
Well, I don’t have an exact answer to that. I don’t remember exactly when I decided I wanted to learn languages. But I guess the seeds of learning new languages were sowed for me from my childhood as my father was an knew 5 European languages and was working in the field of languages from a very long time.
As a child I remember learning Russian from him, and I believe that’s where my love for learning languages began. Growing up I observed how cool his work was- to be able to express in so many languages, meet people from different cultures and always stand apart from the crowdComing to how and why I chose Japanese, my mother is an avid reader and she used to read a lot about Japanese culture and then used to tell me about it. Also, I was privileged enough to grow up in Pune, India which has some of the best educational institutions in the country. The foreign language department of Pune university holds various events and exhibitions and my mother used to take me to all those events and that’s where I was fascinated by Japanese culture and the language.
Fast forward to the present, I was fortunate enough to be able to transform my passion into my career. I have been working in the field of Japanese Language for over 10 years now. I have worked as a translator, interpreter, project coordinator and trainer for various companies in India, Philippines, and Japan.
My love for learning languages continues and currently I am studying Korean and French in my free time.
Through this blog, I intend to share my language knowledge in a simplified manner. So read and follow along and choose the less conventional path towards building a bright future!
